There are very few resident masters teaching Bagua Zhang in the U.S. / North America, especially in the midwest region. So if you want to learn Bagua you’re probably going to have a bit of a drive. Victor Chao has been teaching internal Chinese martial arts in Southeast Michigan for 20 years. In our Wednesday evening class, there are regular students from Livonia, Wyandotte, Jackson, Ann Arbor, Ypsilanti and Monroe.
Shifu Chao studied Bagua Zhang, Xing Yi Chuan and other martial arts from a young age in his native Taiwan. His primary teaching focus is in helping his students developing power and health through traditional internal training methods, especially standing practice. Students of all styles and abilities are welcome.
